⚠️ We are an enrichment-based program, not a child care center, medical provider, or clinical therapy office.

📝 Access to classes requires a completed intake form. Entry is strictly prohibited without this paperwork.

🎯 Daily participation is capped at two back-to-back enrichment sessions.

🛡️ You may choose to share health or sensory needs at your discretion to help us provide a safe experience.

👤 Sign-in and sign-out by a verified parent or legal guardian is mandatory for every visit.

6 Safety and Kindness

We prioritize a secure environment for all learners. If a student exhibits behavior that compromises safety, we will initiate a break from the activity and notify the guardian for immediate pickup. Parents or guardians assume full liability for any physical harm or property damage caused by their child. In instances of chronic safety concerns, participation may be suspended; any remaining balance will be held as a credit.

7 Facility and Assets

While we expect creative mess, families are financially responsible for the cost of fixing or replacing any center equipment, furniture, or specialized materials damaged by their child beyond ordinary wear.

8 Liability Release

By participating, guardians recognize that enrichment activities carry inherent risks, including minor injury or emotional distress, and agree to hold Unique Minds Enrichment Center and its team harmless from claims or damages resulting from attendance, excluding instances of gross negligence. This agreement is finalized via the signed Intake & Liability Packet and remains valid throughout the student's enrollment period.

9 Photo & Media Release (Optional)

We may take photos and short video of classes to share on the website, social media, and marketing materials. Faces will not be tagged with identifying information.
You may grant or deny photo and media use for your child on the intake form. We will respect your choice, and you may change it at any time by emailing uniquemindscenter@gmail.com.

10 Emergency Medical Authorization

In an emergency, you authorize Unique Minds staff to contact emergency medical services and your listed emergency contacts, to obtain emergency medical treatment for your child if needed, and to administer basic first aid such as bandages, ice packs, and cleaning wounds. We will always make every effort to reach you first.

Parental Availability Policy

Guardians retain ultimate responsibility for their child's well-being throughout the session.

  • Ensure you are reachable via the telephone number provided in your file for the duration of the class. Stay within a 20-minute radius of the facility to handle pickups or emergencies. If we cannot reach you within 15 minutes, we will contact your secondary emergency list. Late pickups exceeding 15 minutes incur a $35 fee per child, charged to your account. If no contact is made within 30 minutes of class ending, we will implement emergency protocols which may involve local authorities. In life-threatening situations, 911 is our first call. This availability requirement remains active even if a private support person is present with your child.
Private Support Personnel

Families are welcome to bring their own externally employed behavior technicians, therapists, or aides to assist their child during enrichment sessions at no extra cost.

Guidelines:

  • External support staff are employed solely by the family; we do not manage, supervise, or pay these individuals. A Support Person Authorization form must be on file prior to their arrival. We require valid credentials and a certificate of liability insurance for any aide entering the space. When an authorized aide is present, parents may leave the premises. Aides work exclusively with their assigned student and do not function as center staff members. They are encouraged for children across all age groups, including our youngest learners.

Unique Minds is dedicated to enrichment. We do not provide clinical therapy, medical treatment, or specialized educational schooling, nor do we supervise external therapeutic interventions.

Need details on bringing a support person? Reach us at (972) 876-5435.

11. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

ALL SALES ARE FINAL. WE DO NOT ISSUE REFUNDS. Classes, class packs, and memberships are non-refundable and non-transferable. We do not issue cash refunds or card refunds. Cancellations convert to account credit, never money back.
Cancel or reschedule 24 or more hours before class: the full value converts to account credit, valid 90 days toward any future class.
Cancel with less than 24 hours' notice: the seat is forfeited. Credit may be granted at our discretion for a documented illness or family emergency.
No-shows: the seat is forfeited, with no credit.
Credit is never exchanged for cash and is never returned to your card.
Pricing plans: see the plan terms shown and accepted at purchase.
One-time courtesies. Any accommodation we extend in an individual situation is a one-time courtesy for that situation only. It does not change these terms, does not apply to any other purchase or family, and does not create an entitlement going forward.

12 Schedule Changes

Classes, class times, and instructors may change at any time. Please call us at (972) 876-5435 for the current schedule before you visit.

13. Who Our Classes Are For

Our classes are open to children ages 2 to 12. Each class is small-group, hands-on, and built so every child has a way to take part. Children work at their own pace, and taking a break or sitting out an activity is always okay.

14 Photo Release of the Center & Visitors

By entering the facility, you acknowledge that photos and short videos of the space and group activities may be taken for marketing purposes. Individual children's faces will be obscured or excluded if photo release is denied for that child.

15 Changes to These Policies

We may update these policies from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the current version. Material changes will be communicated by email to enrolled families at least 14 days before taking effect.

Thank you for reviewing our center policies.
